Vallecano, one of the two lesser Madrid sides in Spain's top flight along with Getafe, finished a healthy 11th in 2014/15.
And for the upcoming campaign, they'll march out onto the pitch during several trips across the country in a shirt which sports a striking visual in support of not only the gay pride movement, but also for other groups suffering from struggles in society.
Vallecano stated via Twitter that each of the six colour stripes represents a movement:
  • Red is for cancer sufferers and their families
  • Orange is for the integration of people with disabilities
  • Yellow is for those who never lose hope
  • Green is for those who fight to protect the environment
  • Blue is for those in the fight against child abuse
  • Purple is for those combating violence against women
The collective rainbow stripe is the worldwide recognition of gay pride, making a total of seven causes - and for every shirt purchased, the Liga side are donating seven Euros to charitable causes in the name of all of the above.
The anti-intolerance kit comes hot on the heels of a Facebook campaign which has seen many users of the social media platform using an app to tint their profile picture with the very same colour scheme.
Already, the idea has met universal acclaim on Twitter.
