Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta admits Real Madrid “have done everything to convince” Alvaro Morata to rejoin them this summer.

Madrid can buy Morata back from Juve for €30m, having sold him to the Bianconeri for €10m less than two years ago, but speculation is mounting that the capital giants will exercise their repurchase option and sell him on to a Premier League club for a sizeable profit.
Nonetheless, Marotta told Sport Mediaset: “The will of the player is crucial.
“Alvaro is appreciated by us, he’s closely linked to the club and his desire is to stay, although Real Madrid have done everything to convince him. In any case, we’ll rely on his will.
“Morata’s situation not only depends on us. We want to him to stay and we’ll try to speak with Real Madrid as soon as possible.
“Morata’s future is linked to what Madrid will do as they’re currently fighting for the Spanish League and Champions League."
