Gareth Bale signs new five-year contract at Real Madrid - reports

Gareth Bale has extended his stay at Real Madrid after penning a new five-year deal with the Liga giants, according to reports.

The 27-year-old signed a six-year deal upon making a then world-record £86 million switch from Tottenham back in 2013.

Bale’s new deal will run through to 2021 and increase his wages from €9 million to €10 million a year.

Reports suggest that puts his earnings on a par with Sergio Ramos - and just behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
