Toni Kroos has revealed the two Real Madrid players that he would like to play alongside for the German national team.
The 26-year-old, who moved to Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014, revealed his choice in an interview with Kicker magazine.
However, somewhat surprisingly, the midfield maestro does not select Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Can I pick two?” the German star asked Kicker.
"I'd take Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.”
"It's a lot of fun to play with Luka. We clicked from the first day – we are people with similar thinking but a different playing style. We complement each other.
"Gareth is a weapon with his speed, his left foot and his headers."
The 26-year-old midfielder, who lifted the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, joined Real in the same year from Bayern Munich, and has won the Champions League, two UEFA Super Cups and the FIFA Club World Cup during his time in Spain.
Kroos suffered a fractured metatarsal against Leganes back in early November and is expected to return to action in the new year.
