Which Liga team is happiest with their transfer dealings?

From the happiest to the unhappiest, Eurosport takes a look at La Liga’s transfer market and asks which supporters will be the most satisfied with how January has gone for their team so far.
Sevilla
While Sporting Directors sit back and tell themselves a month is not nearly long enough to get all the necessary business done, Sevilla’s Monchi has a sort of January advent calendar with a new face behind every window. That doesn’t mean 31 new signings but it does mean 31 possibilities. Clement Lenglet will add quality to the defence arriving from Nancy. And Stevan Jovetic has scored two in two against Real Madrid after signing on loan from Inter. Timothee Kolodziejczak has been packed off to Mönchengladbach so once again Sevilla have had a tidy window.
Valencia
If you’re a Valencia fan then you’ve developed an immunity to disappointment over the last few years with top players leaving and poor substitutes coming in to replace them. Simone Zaza’s arrival on loan from Juventus promises much – at least in terms of him being the type of player they need. He still needs to get fit so tick-tock tick-tock but if he can play between Munir El Haddadi and Santi Mina then the last four months of the season should be entertaining. In the departures lounge Dani Parejo and Enzo Perez are both waiting to see if there will be any takers. Neither player’s sale would upset Mestalla regulars although they might miss Parejo more than they think.
Real Madrid
How can they not be happy. They are top and no-one has left. As soon as James Rodriguez declared he was staying Real Madrid it was clear there would be no activity at the Santiago Bernabeu. An injury crisis at full-back has left winger Lucas Vazquez and centre-back Nacho covering the position but it is too late to act now.
Barcelona
Talk of an emergency measure at right-back appears to have come to nothing. They were linked with Glen Johnson and Branislav Ivanovic but the former has stayed at Stoke and the latter looks to be having talks with Zenit. The second string has come good of late so it seems Luis Enrique will finish the season with the same players that started it and supporters have accepted that.
Celta Vigo
Jozabed has come in from Fulham and already helped the team into the Cup semi-finals. José Naranjo has joined Genk and David Costas has gone to Real Oviedo. The main thing is that no-one has come in for Iago Aspas.
Real Betis
So much for this La Liga reporter’s prediction that Charly Musonda would be one to watch in Spain this campaign. He can still be watched but not in La Liga because Betis have sent him back to Chelsea. They bring in Ruben Pardo from Real Sociedad on loan. He was once on Real Madrid’s wish list – now he needs games to get his career back on track. Marc Muniesa could be their best bit of business though. He has toughened up at Stoke but he can still play like a defender raised by Barcelona. Betis are very keen.
Villarreal
Slightly underwhelming from a team whose hopes of finishing in the European places are taking a battering in a so-far winless 2017. Adrián López has arrived from Porto but Pato – who has done well enough in the first half of the season could be tempted by China. The yellow submarine will have to reinvest quickly if that’s to be in their interests as well as the player’s.
Espanyol
It’s foot on the ball time at Espanyol. They could yet say goodbye to Felipe Caicedo but the supporters will want something brought into replace the former Manchester City striker. The trouble with clubs unlikely to go down, or into Europe, is they are unlike to spend money.
Deportivo
Remember the trouble Chelsea got into over Gaël Kakuta? While the one time boy-wonder winger has just come back from Hebei China Fortune and will add some flair to a side that are going to miss Ryan Babel who, after an impressive first half to the season, joined Besiktas.
Malaga
Malaga might need to invest to avoid being sucked into the relegation battle. They have been in free-fall since Juande Ramos helped them upset Barcelona at the Camp Nou and then walked away from the club. Adalberto Peñaranda has arrived from Watford and Martín Demichelis has comeback to replace Weligton and shore up the defence.
Alaves
The cup semi-finalists have brought Oscar Romero in from Shanghái Shenhua and sent back Manchester City loanee Manu García – who they were not using – to England where he has been moved on to NAC Breda in Holland. They are keen on Leciester's Ulloa who has proved himself in Spain before with Almeria.
Eibar
Jose Luis Mendilibar is used to being busy. Eibar tend to sign an entire new squad every summer. Jota Peleteiro has come in from Brentford in a relatively quiet January – they are in that safe and sound no man’s land so why run-up debts?
Granada
Granada can only dream about being in no-man’s land. They are staring into the abyss and have reacted accordingly bringing in Ingi Ingason from Lokeren and Panagiotis Kone from Udinese. David Barral is off to Apoel Nicosia and Jon Toral moves back to Arsenal. The move that could really get them out of trouble will be Adrian Ramos coming in from Dortmund on loan.
Atletico Madrid
They can’t buy anyone because of their Fifa registering ban but no one has left. There will be nerves over Antoine Griezmann’s future, but only at the end of the season. Someone needs to stop Paul Pogba calling him up.
Real Sociedad
They have stuck with what they have and maybe, like the big two, they are justified in that. They made one of the summer’s best signings when they brought in Willian Jose from Las Palmas. They are happy with what they have.
Las Palmas
Spare a thought for Las Palmas fans. They thought prodigal son Jese Rodriguez was returning on loan from PSG. They can’t afford his wages however so they have had to make do with Alen Halilovic from Barcelona. He has not pulled up any trees since leaving the Camp Nou and, despite being young and talented, doesn’t really have the qualities that impressive Las Palmas coach Quique Setien is currently lacking. It’s more of the same.
They have got rid of problem player Sergio Araujo however. The former Barça B striker joins AEK Athens promising to mend his ways after various scrapes with the law off the pitch. Las Palmas are trying to squeeze into Europe but the business they have done so far might not be enough to do that, or to keep Setien at the end of the season.
Athletic Bilbao
Restricted in the market, the Basques have, more or less, left things as they are although goalkeeper Alex Remiro looks set to return from a loan spell at Levante.
Leganes
Leganes have brought in Dimitrios Siovas from Olympiacos and Samu García from Rubin Kazan. They like Malaga are in danger of being sucked into bottom three.
Sporting Gijon
New coach Rubi has signed midfielder Mikel Vesga on loan from Athletic Bilbao but it surely will not be enough to turn their season around.
Osasuna
Maybe they have already given up the ghost because no-one has come in so far. Not even a player who would do a job for them back in the second tier next season if they fail to get out of trouble.
