Valencia sign Arsenal's Gabriel Paulista on five-year contract

La Liga side Valencia have confirmed that they have signed Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista on a five-year contract.

Arsenal signed Gabriel in January 2015 from Villarreal with forward Joel Campbell moving the other way on loan.

In total he made 64 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions and helped them win the FA Cup in 2015 and 2017.

He slipped down the pecking order following the signings of Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding and now moves back to Spain.

The deal is reported to be worth €12 million with the defender signing a five-year contract with a release clause of €80 million.

He will be reunited with former coach Marcelinho who took over Valencia this summer.
