Diarra to join Bordeaux

Lyon and France midfielder Alou Diarra is set to join Bordeaux after the two Ligue 1 sides agree a fee of 7.75 million euros.

"Diarra will join Bordeaux on a four year contract for 7.75 million euros," the French champions said on their website.

The 26-year-old former Lens and Liverpool man has 12 caps afor France and had spoken of his interest in joining Les Girondins after rejecting a move to Portsmouth.

Bundesliga side Werder Bremen were also linked with his signature.
