Casanova slammed the Norway international for his attitude during last week’s 1-0 defeat to St Etienne, which ended their four-match winning streak.
"The option of using Daniel Braaten as the focal point of our attack is over," Casanova said of the former Bolton forward, who hit three goals in his first three matches this season.
"I expect more from him. I have 11 players on the field and I want 11 warriors, not 10."
Casanova appears to be feeling the pressure of his side’s early pace-setting antics, and continued with a rant about those in the media who accuse him of being overly defensive.
"Contrary to what many people may think or say about me, I'm not an exclusively defensive coach," he added in an interview with La Depeche du Midi. “I like a lot of possession, availability, moving the ball, my players will confirm that.
"But I think it is necessary to be organised defensively to get the ball back.
"To have a good season you have to have a good defence. But we also know we must improve offensively as well."
