Evian Thonon Gaillard moved three points clear of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Lorient in Ligue 1.

Clarck N'Sikulu scored the only goal, slotting into the bottom corner from inside the six-yard box.
The visitors pressed for an equaliser but could not turn their superior possession stats into goals as Evian held on for victory.
Victory saw the hosts leapfrog Lorient into 17th spot in the table.
