The Italy midfielder was forced to play the second half of PSG’s 1-0 victory over Lille on Friday following Adrien Rabiot’s 28th-minute dismissal, despite having been absent throughout pre-season.
“We want to keep Motta, but there are things that are out of our control,” Blanc said after the game.
“I still believe he’s very important to the team.”
Motta, 32, joined PSG from Internazionale in 2012 and has clocked up 85 appearances for Les Parisiens in three years.
