The news comes as a great boost for the Ligue 1 side, who finished runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain in the league table last season with Fekir a key component of their exciting young side.
Reports in France suggest the new deal is for over four times what he was earning in 2014/15 when he made his breakthrough into the first team.
"This was an easy decision for me to make," Fekir explained at the Wednesday press conference held by Lyon to confirm the news. "This is the club of my heart and I want to take it as high as possible."
Also at the presser, Lyon announced that goalkeeper Anthony Lopes had also extended his stay at Stade Gerland until 2020.
The Portuguese stopper, 24, earned his first senior cap this year.
