Paris Saint-Germain will wear shirts featuring the message ‘Je Suis Paris’ for their next two matches, the Ligue Un club have confirmed.
Club sponsor Emirates have agreed to the move, meaning the club will wear the special kit against Malmo in the Champions League and for the home match against Troyes - their first match at the Parc des Princes since the terror attacks that struck the city.
“In tribute to the victims of November 13 attacks, the Paris Saint-Germain players will wear a special jersey which only bears the message "JE SUIS PARIS" and nothing else for their next two matches: against Malmö in the Champions League on Wednesday night and again, on Saturday in their Ligue 1 home match against Troyes,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
“This message of unity will appear on the shirt in the space usually occupied by our main partner Emirates,” added a statement on the PSG website.
“Next Saturday, for the first home match at Parc des Princes since the dramatic events, Paris Saint-Germain will honour the victims with a message in unison with the vibrant solidarity expressed by the French and International football community during the past days.”
