Neymar revealed at his first press conference following his £198m world record move to Paris Saint-Germain that he warned Gerard Pique against posting a now infamous tweet.

Two weeks ago, Pique tweeted a picture of himself with then Barcelona team-mate Neymar, at the height of transfer speculation, with the simple message: “se queda” (“he stays”).
It was taken as evidence that Neymar had taken the decision to stay at Camp Nou, but a fortnight later Pique was left red-faced when Neymar’s release clause was activated and he moved to Ligue 1.
Pique has been relentlessly mocked on social media as a result.
And Neymar revealed he advised the defender not to commit to the post.
“It was just a bit of fun, things were relaxed,” he said.
“I told him not to do it as I hadn’t made my decision yet, but it was just a joke. He expressed his feelings and I respect that.”
