Mario Balotelli signs on for another year at Nice

Balotelli had been reported as ready to take a pay cut in order to stay with Nice in the past two days, after being linked with moves to Borussia Dortmund and Besiktas.

The forward had joined Nice on a free transfer on deadline day in 2016, but only signed a one-year contract.

He enjoyed an eventful season, playing only 28 games, he scored 17 goals as he returned to something like his old form.

He had been linked with a move to Spain since his resurgence, and a return to Italy, but he has now decided to extended his stay on the south coast of France for at least one more season.
