FULL-TIME: Liverpool 2-1 Leicester: The Reds win the Premier League Asia Trophy!

Philippe Coutinho's stunning goal on the stroke of half-time proves to be the winner for Liverpool who secure the Premier League Asia Trophy for the first time. Liverpool levelled through new boy Mohamed Salah minutes after Islam Slimani had given Leicester the lead. It's a well deserved victory for Jurgen Klopp's side. They were the better side throughout, and the result has gone down well with the thousands of Liverpool supporters within the Hong Kong Stadium.

84' - Final change for Liverpool

Jon Flanagan replaces Lovren.

77' - Leicester sub

Yohan Benalouane takes the place of Morgan.

74' - Ouch!

The game is forced to stop once more as Ndidi fouls Grujic and the Liverpool man appears in some pain. It appears Grujic was caught by Ndidi's arm, but it was accidental. Some blood, but after some treatment the Serbian is ready to make his return to the pitch.

70' - Drinks break

The first half was played at a frightening pace, and the start of the second period wasn't bad either. However, the heat, and perhaps a lack of match fitness, is now beginning to take its toll on the players as we stop for a much needed drinks break. Nothing much exciting has happened for some time now.

65' - Subs: Mahrez and Vardy are off

Leonardo Ulloa and Ahmed Musa take the place of the deadly duo.

64' - Subs: Solanke and Kent on for the Reds

Dominic Solanke and Ryan Kent are on, Wijnaldum and Salah are off.

60' - Ambitious Sturridge goes for goal

Sturridge is capable of scoring all sorts of spectacular goals, but it would take something special to beat Schmeichel from the right channel, 30 yards out. As you would expect, the shot was straight into the arms of the Dane.

55' - More Liverpool subs

Joe Gomez takes the place of Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn replaces goalscorer Coutinho.

51' - Vardy's through!

Vardy times his run perfectly to latch onto a through pass and he's through one-on-one with the goalkeeper. However, Klavan gets back at the crucial moment to make a last-gasp tackle.

49' - Grujic tries the spectacular!

Henderson finds Marko Grujic with a pin-point cross and the Serbian goes for an acrobatic volley from inside the penalty area, but the shot flashes over Schmeichel's goal.

47' - Vardy on the attack

He scored twice against the Reds in Leicester's 3-1 victory back in February and Vardy is hungry to get back amongst the goals today. He is played through behind the Liverpool defence but is denied by the offside flag. Moments later and he tests Karius with a powerful shot.

45' - Second-half

Liverpool have made several changes at the break: Ragnar Klavan, Marko Grujic, Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge are on while Matip, Lallana,Origi, and Firmino make way. Meanwhile, Leicester also make three subs as Lawrence, Simpson and King replace Amartey, Albrighton, and goalscorer Slimani.

HALF-TIME: Liverpool 2-1 Leicester

Coutinho's sublime goal is the last meaningful contribution of an exhilarating first-half display. The Foxes raced into an early lead through Islam Slimani's header, but Liverpool levelled through new boy Mohamed Salah before Coutinho put the Reds in front in typical style.

43' - GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Leicester: Stunning Coutinho strike gives the Reds the lead!

Who else? The Brazilian magician is given too much space on the edge of the area, and he punishes the Foxes by hammering the ball into the top corner of Schmeichel's goal with his deadly right foot. A sensational effort.

42' - Yellow card

Mahrez is booked for a foul on Coutinho.

41' - Milner hobbles off

Jurgen Klopp is forced to make a change in personnel as Milner appears to have picked up an injury. He is replaced by Alberto Moreno. The skipper is seen rubbing his thigh on the bench, and Liverpool will hope that is nothing serious.

39' - Lovren with a last ditch tackle

Vardy breaches Liverpool's offside trap and is through on goal, but Lovren gets back to make a crucial challenge and clear the danger.

35' - Liverpool go close!

Coutinho curls a free-kick into the Leicester penalty area, drawing Schmeichel out of his goal but he can't get a clean punch on the ball. It falls to Wijnaldum but he somehow fails to hit the target from inside the penalty area as the ball flashes past the post.

30' - Just wide from Albrighton!

Fuchs feeds Albrighton on the channel, and the former Aston Villa winger steps inside and strikes a shot at goal but sends the ball inches wide of Karius' near post.

25' - Firmino shot

The Reds launch a counter-attack from the back and eventually the ball is worked to Firmino. The playmaker only has one thing on his mind and curls a shot at the Leicester goal from 25 yards but it's straight forward for Schmeichel.

20' - GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Leicester: Salah levels for the Reds!

It's a marvellous goal from Liverpool's new striker! He finds Coutinho and keeps his run going to meet the Brazilian's wonderful lofted return pass with his head and beyond the reach of Schmeichel.

16' - Mistake by Karius

Liverpool's German goalkeeper is prone to the odd mistake, and he's up to his old tricks again in Hong Kong. Matip plays a wayward back pass and in a bid to keep it in play Karius slides it straight to Slimani. Fortunately for the Reds, the Leicester striker can't control the ball and they survive.

14' - Mahrez on the move

Mahrez is brought down by Lovren right on the edge of the penalty area, winning a free-kick. Drinkwater steps up to take the set-piece, but it's struck straight at the Liverpool wall.

11' - GOAL! Liverpool 0-1 Leicester: Slimani heads Leicester in front!

Albrighton finds Fuchs with a delightful reverse pass. The full-back delivers a teasing cross to the back post where Slimani towers above Milner and heads the ball into the back of the net.

7' - Mahrez is looking lively

The Algerian is clearly keen to impress potential suitors during pre-season, and that was evident with his impressive performance against West Brom in the semi-final. He has made a bright start here too as he wins a corner but Liverpool deal with the set-piece quite easily.

3' - Coutinho shot!

Liverpool have started brightly. Coutinho gathers the ball in space from around 25 yards out, skips past Slimani, and decides to have a pop at goal. His right-footed shot is straight into the arms of Schmeichel.

KICK-OFF!

After a rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone from the ‘Mongolian Kopites’, the match gets underway. Many of the 40,000 supporters at the Hong Kong Stadium are in red. It’s just like Anfield really, only it’s hot. Very hot. Bobby Madley is the referee.
