Former Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith has returned to the club on loan from Brighton.
The 30-year-old's return sees 'The Mac Attack' reunited at London Road, following Aaron Mclean's loan arrival from Bradford last week. The pair scored 183 goals between them as they helped Posh win three promotions under the management of Darren Ferguson between 2007-2011.
Mackail-Smith will remain with Peterborough until the end of December and should go straight into the squad for the Sky Bet League One fixture at home to Bristol City on Friday night.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony said on Twitter: "I've put the 'Mac Attack' back together as I've done a deal with Brighton for Craig Mackail-Smith to get some games."
Mackail-Smith has made 15 appearances for Brighton this season, most of them as a substitute. He has scored three goals, but none since the Capital One Cup win at Burton in September.
He left Peterborough after scoring in the 2011 League One play-off final against Huddersfield at Old Trafford, moving to Brighton for a fee of B£2.5 million.
