Marco Weymans signs three-year deal at Cardiff City

Cardiff City have brought in Belgian Under-19 midfielder Marco Weymans, with the former PSV Eindhoven youngster signing a three-year deal with the Bluebirds.

Weymans had been on trial at fellow Championship side Fulham and the left-sided player will now join up with Cardiff Under-21 manager Kevin Nicholson's squad for the 2015/16 season.

The 18-year-old caught the eye of the footballing world back in March, when he scored for his country from inside his own half in a under-19 qualifier against Sweden.

Weymans has also been known to play at left-back and the signing of the deal indicates he is highly thought of at his new club with aspirations of possibly advancing to the first-team squad in the future.
