3 - England finished third at the 2015 World Cup in Canada, beating Germany in the third-place play-off thanks to Fara Williams' extra-time penalty. Sampson's side also reached the last four of this summer's European Championship in Holland before losing to the hosts, who went on to win the competition.
43 - Sampson led England to a first victory over France in 43 years when they held on for a 1-0 win in the Euro 2017 quarter-finals.
