Matt Tubbs' brace takes Portsmouth top of League Two

Portsmouth striker Matt Tubbs' second-half double secured his side a 3-1 win at 10-man Cambridge and lifted them top of Sky Bet League Two.

Robbie Simpson gave Cambridge a fifth-minute lead but the home side had defender Mark Roberts sent off for violent conduct on the stroke of half-time.

Leon Legge's own goal levelled matters in the 67th minute and and Tubbs struck in the 69th and 87th.

With overnight leaders Plymouth playing on Sunday in the televised game at Notts County, Leyton Orient missed out on the chance to go top as their 10 men were beaten 3-2 at struggling Crawley.

Jay Simpson gave Orient an early lead but Crawley hit back with a three-goal blitz in 13 minutes before half-time through Roarie Deacon, Mitch Hancox and Simon Walton's penalty after visiting defender Alan Dunne had been shown a straight red card for bringing down Rhys Murphy.

Simpson pulled one back with his second goal in the 82nd minute but Crawley held on for only their second win in seven matches.

George Baldock struck an 80th-minute winner for Oxford as they beat AFC Wimbledon 1-0 at the Kassam Stadium to climb into the top three.

Oxford midfielder Liam Sercombe's 52nd-minute shot hit the crossbar before Baldock popped up with the winner.

Mansfield closed in on the leaders thanks to a 3-0 home win against Newport County.

Craig Westcarr lashed Mansfield ahead six minutes into the second half, Malvind Benning added a second in the 70th minute and Adi Yussuf made sure in stoppage time.

Barnet slipped to their second home defeat of the season after going down 2-1 to Accrington.

Bees midfielder Michael Gash cancelled out Sam Togwell's 23rd-minute own goal before the break, but Accrington's Sean McConville headed a 62nd-minute winner.

Morecambe striker Shaun Miller struck twice as his side won 3-2 at Carlisle.

Miller cancelled out Danny Grainger's 23rd-minute opener for Carlisle and fired his second in the 74th minute after Tom Barkhuizen had restored the visitors' lead. Derek Asamoah fired Carlisle's second in stoppage time.

Northampton made it back-to-back league wins with a 2-1 home victory against Hartlepool.

Marc Richards and Ryan Cresswell put Northampton two up inside 21 minutes before Hartlepool pulled one back before the break through striker Rakish Bingham.

Luton and York shared the points after a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road.

York defender Keith Lowe fired his side ahead in the 38th minute but Cameron McGeehan equalised from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute following Russell Penn's foul on Olly Lee.

Dagenham & Redbridge and fellow strugglers Yeovil also settled for a point each after a 2-2 draw at Huish Park.

Kane Ferdninand's 18th-minute header - his first goal in over three years - and midfielder Frankie Raymond gave Dagenham a two-goal half-time lead, but Yeovil hit back in the second half through Ryan Bird's header and Jakub Sokolik's fluke goal when goalkeeper Liam O'Brien's punch rebounded in off him.
