The duo, who have both been integral to the club's rise from League Two to Championship safety, turned their backs on the Millers after rejecting improved contract offers, with Morgan set to join Bolton.
Evans expressed his disappointment at their decision to leave the AESSEAL New York Stadium, but he is already looking for replacements and has meetings set up over the next couple of days around some media work for the Sky Bet play-off finals this weekend.
"After discussions with the chairman it is fair to say that I will be involved in a couple of meetings concerning potential new players, as well as further meetings involving adding to my backroom staff.
"I can confirm at that meeting that the targets that I have identified to the chairman have been sanctioned, and a number of meetings have now been set up with those targeted players and their representatives."
There could be further departures, with Scott Loach and Connor Newton in discussions with several clubs after they were made available for transfer.
