Only four days after holding Premier League giants Manchester United to a famous goalless draw in the FA Cup, the U's struggled to maintain their intensity after taking a first-half lead through Cameron McGeehan. Ashley Hemmings nodded an equaliser to lift the Daggers out of the bottom two on goal difference.
"It was always going to be a tough ask but you have to come through it and it's a game we've got to win 1-0," explained Money afterwards. "Then no-one remembers the performance, it's three points and on you go.
"Having said that we haven't lost and who knows how important that point will be come the end of the season, whether we're trying to stay in a stable position or whether we're chasing.
"I can't explain the mental side of it, coming down from that occasion on Friday night (in the FA Cup) and then getting up again. Even for top players it's difficult, so for players at our level it's even more difficult.
"I thought the performance was pretty much what I expected but once we got our noses in front you have to make sure you see it out. We made too many mistakes in the defensive third to deserve the clean sheet.
"We just needed a second goal to give us a bit of a cushion but we couldn't get it. They've worked hard and were probably worth a point."
Dagenham assistant manager Warren Hackett took over on media duties from Wayne Burnett and was encouraged by aspects of his side's performance.
"Most teams have come here and not got results, Manchester United couldn't break them down on Friday night. I believe it was a really gritty performance out there against a big, strong, well-organised team," Hackett said.
"Their fans and everyone at the football club is on a high at the moment and they've got lots going for them, so they were always going to attack us and put us on the back foot. They did that, and they're very good from set pieces and managed to capitalise early in the first half.
"In saying that, on the counter we still stretched them a little bit and had a couple of opportunities. Ultimately they paid off in the end because we managed to get one.
"We've been working defensively, which is why we've been conceding less of late, and we've also been working on the final third stuff because we haven't been scoring too many goals. Our movement was great at times and with a little bit more fortune we could have got another one or two."
