Scottish Premiership side Partick accepted a bid from Blackpool on Monday night, but right-back O'Donnell, 22, has opted not to join the Sky Bet Championship strugglers after being given permission to speak with them.
"It wasn't something that came down to money," O'Donnell told Partick's official club website.
"My agent spoke to Blackpool and we decided that it just wasn't the right move for me at this time.
"I'm a Partick Thistle player and will be doing everything I can to make sure we finish as far up the table as possible, with top six still a very real possibility.
"I am happy where I am just now and I'm incredibly proud every time I pull on the Partick Thistle shirt.
"At this point I don't know what my future holds but the one thing I am certain of is that I will give my all for Partick Thistle as long as I am a player at the club."
O'Donnell made his debut for Partick as a 19-year-old in September 2011 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club.
