Paul Pogba will start for Manchester United against Newcastle after a long injury lay-off.
The star midfielder has been sidelined for two months with a hamstring problem, but has been named in the XI by manager Jose Mourinho.
Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic also returns to the squad having not played since suffering career-threatening cruciate knee ligament damage in April, since when he has left the club and rejoined.
Defender Marcos Rojo, who injured his knee in the same game as Ibrahimovic, is also amongst the substitutes at Old Trafford.
Jonjo Shelvey will captain a Newcastle team as Rafa Benitez's men look to move up the table from 11th.
United are chasing Manchester City at the top of the table and were handed a boost when rivals Tottenham slipped up at the Emirates earlier in the day.
Manchester United: De Gea, Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku
Newcastle: Elliot; Yedlin, Lejeune, Clark, Manquillo; Ritchie, Shelvey, Hayden, Murphy; Gayle, Joselu.
