It appears Ronaldo’s popularity knows no bounds – a fact perfectly encapsulated by the goings-on before Real Madrid’s game against Inter in Guangzhou.

Each player was assigned a mascot before the game but what happened next will surely only serve to reassure Ronaldo of his status as the world’s most popular player.

As the time for the official team photo neared, the majority of the mascots abandoned their responsibilities and made a beeline for the Portuguese.
