Paper Round: Daniel Sturridge wants to leave Liverpool, Chelsea reject £57m China bid for Oscar

Friday's papers are filled with big stories, as Daniel Sturridge is apparently out in the summer while more Premier League stars are chased by Chinese clubs.
Sturridge set to quit Liverpool as he fumes at injury criticism
The Daily Mail are reporting Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is on the verge of leaving the club in the summer, due to the criticism surrounding his ability to rebound from injury issues. Manager Jurgen Klopp has publicly criticised Sturridge's resilience and mindset in not being able to play with an injury, while the report states United and Arsenal are interested in the striker, who reportedly wants a clean break.
Paper Round's view: Sturridge is a frustrating player due to his injuries, but has shown he's become a complete forward in the instances he's been able to get on to the pitch. It seems unlikely Liverpool will allow him to go so easily and they'd sell such a talented player to a team that's jostling for Champions League spots with them. A definite watch this space on his future, but will he head to league rivals? Unlikely.
Great Haul of China - £57m bid for Oscar from Jiangsu Suning rejected
The Sun are running with Chelsea rejecting a bid from Chinese Super League Jiangsu Suning for playmaker Oscar. The bid was a whopping £57m for the Brazilian star, in which Chelsea promptly turned down. The story indicates that Jiangsu are still interested in the services of him and Yaya Toure, and will be back in the summer to try and nab one of them.
Paper Round's view: Shows just how the footballing world order has been shaken up. Doubt Oscar ends up in China as he's still got a lot of peak European football left and Chelsea probably won't sell. However, Yaya Toure shares an uncomfortable history with incoming manager Pep Guardiola, so for an ambitious Chinese club there's a very big opportunity to court him.
Liverpool fans set to walk out of Sunderland game to protest ticket prices
The Times are reporting that the famous Kop end and others at Anfield will partake in a walkout to protest rising ticket prices in the 77th minute against Sunderland on the weekend. The fans are angry at the cost of a season ticket next season, which is planned to rise in the new stand at the ground from £59 to £77.
Paper Round's view: Supporter's groups make a fantastic argument here - the budgeting for Premier League clubs should take into account the TV deal and the associated increases there, instead of further fleecing fans. Atmospheres at UK grounds are further falling behind those on the continent and South America, and the TV product and game (which should be in the interest of the broadcasters shelling out the money) will further diminish as the young and the disadvantaged are priced out of grounds.
United fans staying away from Europa League tie with Midtjylland
The Sir Alex Ferguson Stand will be cordoned off as a result of low demand for tickets to the Europa League fixture between United and Midtjylland, according to a story in the Express. Despite dropping ticket prices 25%, United are expecting a low crowd due to a weakened team to being fielded, with the Red Devils playing Arsenal three days later in the league.
Paper Round's view: This portrays how far United's standing has dropped, as those famous European nights in the first decade of the 21st century feel like a lifetime away. Perhaps it also shows how much fans are shelling out nowadays, unable to afford all the cup competitions after paying for league tickets.
