Arsenal could lose forward Chuba Akpom as Europe's elite prepare to pounce

Arsene Wenger handed Akpom his fourth appearance of the season in the 3-2 FA Cup win at Brighton on Sunday, but the 19-year-old has yet to accept the club's offer of an extension until 2019.

It is understood that Akpom has been offered pre-contract deals from Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord and FC Twente.

There is also Premier League interest in the player - a regular scorer in the Arsenal academy and reserve teams - with Manchester City, Liverpool, Spurs and Everton studying the situation.

Arsenal are not keen on sanctioning another loan deal for Akpom this month with Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski already departing in the January window.
