Sven-Goran Eriksson says Manchester City are 'not good enough'

Former Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has criticised the club for their poor season under manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The Swede led a very different looking City side to a ninth-place finish in 2007-2008 but feels they should now have aspirations much higher than being fourth, as they currently are.
“With the squad City have, they should be doing better,” said Eriksson. “They have the best players in the Premier League so they should be the best team, but they are not.
"I don't know what is going wrong but, with the money they have spent, they have to do better. It is not good enough."
The Premier League champions have spent over £100 million net on transfer fees alone since Manuel Pellegrini arrived as coach, but look certain to end the season without a trophy.
"These rich clubs expect to win every year but only one team can win the title,” continued Eriksson.
“City won the league last year with the same players, so it is hard to know what the difference has been this season."
