Two goals from Harry Kane and another Christian Eriksen freekick gave Tottenham a convincing 3-0 win at West Brom, condemning Tony Pulis to his first defeat as the Baggies’ head coach.
Spurs dominated from the off and were ahead after just seven minutes when Eriksen repeated his free-kick goal against Sheffield United in midweek with another outstanding set-piece, although Ben Foster will feel he could have saved it.
The visitors were two to the good soon after when Moussa Dembele drove through the heart of the West Brom midfield and played in Harry Kane on the left-hand side of the area for a firm near-post finish.
West Brom rallied for the remainder of the first half, forcing Hugo Lloris into two excellent saves, but they rarely looked like recovering anything from the game after their terrible start.
Tottenham’s win was confirmed midway through the second half when Kevin Friend awarded them a penalty for a Joleon Lescott handball, allowing Kane to drive in his 20th goal of the season in all competitions.

KEY MOMENTS
7’ - GOAL! West Brom 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur. Referee Kevin Friend awards Tottenham a free-kick just outside the West Brom area and what happens next? Christian Eriksen scores, of course. It's curled over the wall and Foster does get a hand to it but can't keep it out. He should have done better, really.
14’ – GOAL! West Brom 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham are two goals to the good with just 14 minutes played and it's simply not good enough from West Brom. Dembele drives forward through the heart of midfield and no West Brom players get near him before he feeds in Kane on the left-hand side of the area. The striker finishes firmly past Foster from 12 yards and West Brom are in a hole.
27’ – CHANCE: Fantastic save from Lloris! Anichebe turns brilliantly on the halfway line and powers forward before feeding it to Morrison on the edge of the area. The Scottish midfielder curls it towards the top-left hand corner of the goal but Lloris palms it behind.
30’ – CHANCE: Another great save by Lloris but Yacob really had to score! A clever free-kick gets Berahino clear on the left hand side of the area and his hooked ball across goal finds the Argentine midfielder. His scuffed effort is heading for the bottom corner but Lloris turns it away again.
37’ – CROSSBAR! West Brom hit the bar after Morrison drives in an excellent free-kick from 40 yards out and Dawson connects with a powerful header which hits the top of the bar and falls away to safety.
64’ - GOAL! West Brom 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur. Harry Kane takes the spot-kick and drives it in off the left-hand post to give Spurs a big lead. The penalty was awarded for a handball by Lescott as he slid in to block Walker's cross. It was a slightly harsh decision but Tottenham do not care, as they lead 3-0.
86’ – CHANCE: Fazio plays a terrible back pass which Berahino intercepts before fluffing his attempt at rounding Lloris. It is not going to be West Brom's day.
