Liverpool's Jordon Ibe has withdrawn from the England Under-20s squad due to a recurring knee injury.
The 19-year-old has been one of few bright points in a frustrating season at Anfield, impressing since returning from a loan spell with Derby.
Ibe was last week rewarded with a new and improved five-year contract, having made 14 appearances for the Reds in all competitions since the turn of the year.
That form saw the winger included in the England Under-20s squad heading to the Toulon Tournament this summer, although the Football Association has now announced his withdrawal.
"Derby County forward Kwame Thomas has been called up to the England Under-20s squad to replace Jordon Ibe," a statement on www.thefa.com read.
"The Liverpool youngster has been forced to withdraw from the Young Lions party that will travel to the Toulon Tournament with a recurring knee injury."
The Young Lions will compete in Group B in Toulon, alongside China, Ivory Coast, Mexico and Morocco.
