Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy claimed his own slice of history as he bagged a goal in his 11th consecutive Premier League game.
The 28-year-old lashed past David De Gea for his 13th goal in 11 top-flight games to usurp Ruud van Nistelrooy in the record books.
Vardy’s remarkable run began at Bournemouth from the penalty spot, with the former non-league sensation since helping Leicester reach the Premier League summit.
