Angel Di Maria’s proposed £44 million move to Paris Saint-Germain has been reportedly delayed because he was too tired to undergo a medical.

The 27-year-old had made a 20-hour trip from Argentina to arrive in Qatar on Sunday with his medical originally planned to begin at the Aspire Centre on Monday.
But according to a report in the Daily Mail, Di Maria and his entourage instead opted to head to their accommodation, the five star Torch Hotel.
“There he had a long sleep and light bite to eat before receiving some treatments and massages on Monday morning to prepare him for the medical tests,” reported the paper.
PSG doctor Eric Rolland reportedly arrived in Doha ready to undertake Di Maria’s medical, which will now take place on Tuesday instead.
According to the paper’s report, Di Maria will then travel to Paris to officially sign his contract, which is understood to be worth £170,000 after tax with a four-year deal.
Di Maria failed to join up with United’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States after he appeared for Argentina at the Copa America in Chile.

United manager Louis van Gaal claimed at the time that he had no idea where his star midfielder was.
"I don't know where he is," the United boss said. "You can ask that every week but I don't answer that question."
United are set to make a substantial loss on the former Real Madrid midfielder after the club signed him last August for £59.7 million.
He ended up starting just one match after United’s defeat to Arsenal in their FA Cup quarter-final on March 9.

While this is being made out to reflect badly on Di Maria, it really should not matter to PSG if it takes an additional day to complete his medical. With a transfer worth a reported £44m it surely makes sense to test a player when they have not just stepped off a plane following a 20-hour journey from South America. This situation is unlikely to deter the French giants from completing the transfer imminently and Di Maria is clearly being looked after very well as he prepares for his reported medical. His move to United did not work out at all, but the Argentine has battled through a very hectic year with the World Cup in Brazil leading to his transfer to Old Trafford, then on to the Copa America.
