French international Abou Diaby has been released by Arsenal after 10 years at the club, during which time he made just 180 appearances for the club due to injuries.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who has played 16 times for France, has had more than 40 separate injuries during his time in North London.
In a statement on their official website, Arsenal said:
"Abou Diaby, together with academy players Jack Jebb, Austin Lipman, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Josh Vickers, are leaving Arsenal, having reached the end of their contracts.
Diaby leaves the club after 10 years in which he made 180 first-team appearances, scoring 19 goals.
A hugely talented midfielder, unfortunately his time at the club was interrupted by a number of serious injuries."
Diaby was named on the list of Arsenal's released players submitted to the Premier League last month, but it was thought that the club may still offer him a "pay-as-you-play" deal.
That will not be the case, however, meaning Diaby must now look for a new club over the summer.
