The French international is one of the most sought-after players in Europe, with the Bianconeri already turning down an €80m (£55m) bid from Barcelona.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 22-year-old, but the Mourinho doesn’t see him as a realistic target.
“I think everybody has an interest in Pogba,” Mourinho told journalists on Chelsea’s pre-season tour of north America.
“But there are things you can do and things you cannot do. I love the Eiffel Tower but I can’t have the Eiffel Tower in my garden.
“I can’t even have the Eiffel Tower of Las Vegas. We feel we have the tools to improve our team without that. And the tools are ourselves.”
Pogba, 22, is also a reported target for Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris St Germain this summer, although he is under contract at the Serie A club until June 2019.

Chelsea joined the European financial elite when Roman Abramovich brought the club in 2003. However, the implementation of Financial Fair Play where spending is tied to revenue generated has fostered a changed in Chelsea’s transfer policy.
Last summer, the Chelsea boss balanced the Stamford Bridge books, selling Demba Ba, David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku to fund moves for Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis. This summer Chelsea have invested rather modestly – Asmir Begovic and Nathan have been brought in from Stoke City and Atlético-PR for a combined total of £11.5 million; while Danilo Pantic arrived on a free from Partizan Belgrade and Falcao on loan.
Put simply, the days of wild spending at Chelsea look over. Pogba would cost bordering on world record money and Chelsea are patently unwilling to spend those sorts of sums. Their £50 million purchase of Fernando Torres back in 2011 looks set to remain their record outlay for some time to come.
