Leicester have £12m bid for Charlie Austin rejected

Managerless Leicester City have had a £12m for QPR striker Charlie Austin rejected as the Foxes look to increase their fire-power in attack.
The 25-year-old striker scored 18 Premier League goals for QPR last season but could not stop the west London club from being relegated.
Austin, who was called up into Roy Hodgson's England squad for last month's fixtures with the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia, is entering the final year of his current deal at Loftus Road but QPR are not prepared to lower the valuation of one of their prized assets.
OUR VIEW
Charlie Austin will move this summer. Nearly every Premier League side outside the top six would want to sign the striker and with just one year left on his contract, QPR want to drive the price up as high as possible before letting him leave.
The only surprise is that Leicester have opened the bidding as they already have Leonardo Ulloa, Shinji Okazaki, Andrej Kramaric and David Nugent as orthodox centre-forwards. Should they complete a deal for Austin they will be looking to sell and you'd put your money on Nugent being the man to go.
