Hull City confirm departure of manager Steve Bruce

Hull City have confirmed that manager Steve Bruce has left the club.
It had been widely reported earlier on Friday that the former Sunderland manager had departed the club but there had been no official word from the club.
The 55-year-old departs just three weeks before the start of the Premier League season after gaining the club promotion from Championship last term.
He leaves behind a thin squad, which has been troubled by injuries over the summer and that has failed to be boosted by any big signings.
It comes just days after being interviewed for the England manager's job, which Sam Allardyce is due to take.
"Following four incredible seasons with the Tigers including two promotions and our first ever FA Cup final, we can confirm that manager Steve Bruce has left the Club by mutual consent," read a statement on the club's website.
