Reports in France suggest Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has decided to join Arsenal this summer.
Kante, named on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist after helping Leicester to the title, is said to have a release clause of £20 million in his contract.
And the defensive midfielder is rumoured to have his heart set on joining Arsenal in time for the 2016-17 season.
Kante has been linked with Arsenal for weeks but French TV show Telefoot have sparked the latest round of speculation.
Other sources suggest Kante's agents have met with Arsenal to hold preliminary talks.
Manchester City had also been linked with the tough-tackling Kante, who leads the Premier League with 4.2 interceptions per game.
However, incoming coach Pep Guardiola is not a fan of the player, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Manchester City will NOT move for N’Golo Kante this summer, with Pep Guardiola still focusing on the targets he’s drawn up with director of football Txiki Begiristain. Despite reports in France that City were in advanced negotiations over a deal for the Leicester midfielder, club sources say there is ‘no interest’ in the player who was one of the Premier League’s brightest stars this season.
