Liverpool originally failed with a £10m offer for Clyne back in May and the defender has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
A new offer of around £12.5m from Liverpool has been accepted however, meaning Clyne can become Liverpool’s sixth summer signing after Adam Bogdan, Danny Ings, James Milner, Joe Gomez and Brazil international Roberto Firmino.

The 24-year-old will undergo a medical before being officially confirmed as a Liverpool player. When that happens he will take the club's summer spend to around the £50m mark.
With former right-back Glen Johnson leaving Anfield this summer, Clyne looks likely to be the man to replace him for club and country.
Clyne joined Southampton from Crystal Palace in 2012 and has made 104 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.
