Though his signing was announced on August 11 the paperwork was yet to be completed, but the club can now officially welcome Calleri to East London.
The 22-year-old played for Argentina at the Olympics in Rio as they were eliminated in the group stage and arrives in London fresh from competition, with international clearance now having been given.
Speaking to the club's official website, Calleri said: “I am very happy to have signed for West Ham.
“This represents a fantastic new challenge for me and I am really looking forward to it.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and so I am delighted to have this opportunity to play in such a prestigious league.”
The Buenos Aires native, who arrives in London from the Uruguayan Segunda Division, added: "These are exciting times for me personally and I am motivated to adapt my game to this new environment.
"I am a player who always tries to work as hard as I can and to do my best for the team.”
Calleri has scored 39 goals in 90 appearances in the last two seasons.
