Dimitri Payet set up one and scored one as West Ham came back to draw 2-2 with Norwich City at Carrow Road.
West Ham had the chance to move into fifth after Manchester United lost the day’s early game to Sunderland, and Norwich also had to respond, as that win took Sunderland on to equal points with them in the relegation zone.
The first half brought just one save to make, for Norwich’s John Ruddy, whereas Adrian was under little pressure from the home side.
In the second half, Robbie Brady put Norwich ahead with an excellent, curling shot, with Wes Hoolahan adding a second, but two goals in three minutes from Payet and Mark Noble made it 2-2.
Alex Neil will be distraught to throw away such a comfortable position, but his opposite number Slaven Bilic will be disappointed West Ham could not make even more of their late comeback.

KEY MOMENTS

24’ - BRADY FREE-KICK: Brady drills a free-kick over the wall, it's over the centre of the bar, and Adrian had it covered too.
46’ - JEROME SHOT: Redmond chests a long ball back to Jerome, and he curls just wide of the far post.
54’ - GOAL! Norwich 1-0 West Ham. Brady scores: He tackles Antonio in midfield, and wriggles free as he drives towards the box. On his right foot, outside the box, he curls in a shot to the top corner.
65’ - GOAL! Norwich City 2-0 West Ham. Hoolahan scores: Naismith takes a shot at goal from outside the box. It's deflected into the path of Hoolahan - offside - and he slots home.
73’ - GOAL! Norwich City 2-1 West Ham. Payet scores: Moses bursts into the box, behind the defence. He's down and tackled, but gets back to his feet and shoots at goal. Ruddy saves, but he parries into the path of Payet, who slides at the back post to pull one back.
77’ - GOAL! Norwich City 2-2 West Ham - Noble scores: Payet runs the ball to the byline, he looks up, pulls it back for Noble, and his controlled, measured strike arcs away from the keeper.

TALKING POINT

Will West Ham be able to keep hold of Dimitri Payet? There were reports this week that Payet's new contract secured a wage increase to £120,000 a week. With the new television deal, and his current form, it’s hard to argue he is not worth it right now, but such an opening demand might simply be prelude to a transfer up the table, or abroad. He would not look out of place in the Champions League.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Dimitri Payet (West Ham): His resurgence in the second half - despite playing the full match against Liverpool in the week, and his recent injury - was at the heart of West Ham’s comeback. There was one moment, except the goal and assist, that summed him up. He stood on the edge of the box, and played one-twos with three different players - he is the man who keeps his side moving.
