Troy Deeney became the first Watford player to score in four consecutive Premier League matches as his side secured a 2-0 home win over a lacklustre Norwich.
Odion Ighalo had been brought down in the box by Alex Tettey, who got booked for his trouble, and Deeney sent Declan Rudd the wrong way from the spot.
It was a poor first half, made worse by a blustery wind blowing across the pitch and making close control difficult.
The second half improved as Ighalo asserted himself, and he took advantage of six minutes of added time by powering past Sebastien Bassong and slotting home.
That additional time was primarily due to a lengthy spell of treatment for Nathan Ake, who had a nasty landing on his neck, but managed to play on.

KEY MOMENTS

26' - OOPS! My highlight of the first half so far - Ben Watson falls over backwards as he lofts a free kick in.
29' - PENALTY! Capoue plays Ighalo through, and Tettey makes enough contact to take him down and get the booking.
30' - GOAL! Great penalty from Troy Deeney, sending Rudd the wrong way.
37' - OFFSIDE! Oh, and the ball's in the back of the net but the flag is up. Lovely lofted ball from Capoue to Nyom, whose cross is touched in by Ighalo. I'm not convinced he was actually offside, but the assistant referee was.
90'+1 - GOAL! Well, that's finished it off. Ighalo finally gets the goal his industry deserves. He powers past Bassong and slots home.

KEY STATISTICS

Watford have now matched their tally of Premier League wins in 1999-00 (6).
No Watford player had ever scored in four successive Premier League appearances before Troy Deeney did it today.
The Canaries have registered just one win in their last 10 Premier League games, drawing three and losing six .
Norwich have managed just one clean sheet in the Premier League this season, a joint league-low total (alongside Bournemouth).

TALKING POINT

Should Nathan Ake have played on? When someone's taken a blow to the head and neck like that, one would expect them to be withdrawn as a precaution, even if the player himself feels OK. The spinal board was out ready to carry him off. But then again we've had this debate a hundred times before and nothing ever seems to change.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Odion Ighalo (Watford). Strong and quick, and although his touch might not have been the best this afternoon, he made the Norwich defence look like terrified children.
