Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract is up at the end of the 2017-18 season, one of many Arsenal players in that situation, and he has been linked to Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.
However according to reports from the Mail and the Mirror, Arsenal are keen to tie the midfielder, who has been playing at wing-back recently, to a new five-year deal.
The reports say that his new deal could put him in the elite bracket at the club and he would earn around £100,000-a-week.
Both reports mention the fact that a pay-rise is not the only factor for Oxlade-Chamberlain as he is keen to receive reassurances over his role in the team.

The player is reportedly keen to ensure that he becomes a first-team regular, not just for Arsenal but for the national team as well.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's performances in the past few weeks have shown just how important a player he could be for the team.
His inconsistencies, both in terms of injuries and performances, have been hugely frustrating since he initially broke through, but he has the ability to become a vital player for the club.
He almost seems ready-made for the wing-back role but he surely still has a future in the centre of midfield, such is his ability when he picks up the ball and drives towards the opposition defence.
