Andre Villas-Boas: I fell in love with my idol Jose Mourinho

Andre Villas-Boas has said that Jose Mourinho makes people "fall in love with him" and feels the time spent working with the Manchester United manager were the best moments of his life.

Villas-Boas, 38, spent seven years working with Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea and Inter between 2002-2009 before the pair went their separate ways with AVB progressing to coach Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham and St Petersburg.
Despite working under Mourinho who had described him as "my eyes and ears", there was tension between the two Portuguese coaches with AVB striking out on his own during their time together Inter Milan.
He admitted he had not spoken to 'The Special One' for some time.
"In my formative moments, working with Jose was the best time of my life," said Villas-Boas.

"I wanted to be like him, know everything that he knew and absorb all the information he was giving."

"Then you fall on the wrong side of Jose and that's when things change and you realise that you've been blinded by someone. He has this fascinating capability of getting the best out of you, which has good or bad consequences for people.
"My consequences were that as a result of the argument or disagreement we had, I started my coaching career."
