Willian and Diego Costa were on the scoresheet as Chelsea ended a four-game winless streak to beat Hull City 2-0 away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea went into the game under some pressure following back-to-back Premier League defeats to Liverpool and Chelsea but Antonio Conte switched to the three-man defence he perfected at Juventus and Italy and it paid off.
Willian curled home a beautiful opener after 61 minutes, finding the top corner and leaving David Marshall in the Hull goal rooted to the spot.

Only six minutes later, Diego Costa lashed home a second in similar fashion to the opening goal, Chelsea's attack finally clicking.
The onslaught from the away side came after a fairly lacklustre first-half performance which saw the visitors fail to even get a shot on target, with Hull coming the closest in the first period courtesy of a Robert Snodgrass free-kick and a Ryan Mason effort seconds before the half-time whistle.
But importantly, Chelsea kept a clean sheet as Conte was rewarded for being the first Blues manager since Andre Villas-Boas to drop Branislav Ivanovic as he reshuffled at the back.
The three points takes Chelsea into sixth place, level with Arsenal but having played a game more. Hull are down in 15th, their excellent start to the season now a distant memory.

TALKING POINT

Conte breathes a sigh of relief. After stating earlier in the week that he didn't have a magic wand to turn the club around instantly, Conte finally has something to reflect positively on following the 3-0 drumming and embarrassment against Arsenal last weekend. Things didn't look like improving after the first half but his strength in attack with the likes of Hazard, Costa and Willian turned the game in Chelsea's favour. Conte will be hoping this could be the springboard Chelsea need to rack up some better performances.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Willian (Chelsea): The Brazilian was very much Chelsea's key man towards the end of last season and today we saw why that was. Although his set pieces didn't create too much trouble for Hull, his beautiful opening goal was the crucial turning point in the game and one which saw Chelsea see out a comfortable success.

KEY MOMENTS

3' - CHANCE: An early free-kick with three minutes played is struck well by Snodgrass. His effort clips the top of the wall and floats dangerously towards Courtois' goal. The Belgian gets a strong hand onto it palming it over the bar.
45+ 2' - CHANCE: With just seconds left before the break, Mason finds some space and makes a charge towards the Chelsea box and fires a fine effort which is parried by the Chelsea goalkeeper to safety.
57' - CHANCE: With no more than a sniff of goal in the first-half, Costa races onto a Kante pass, rounds Marshall and fires at goal. The ball goes through Davies' legs and hits the post. The rebound falls to Kante who fires way over the bar.
61' - GOAL! Willian cuts inside just outside the Hull box and curls the ball beautifully into Marshall's top left-hand corner. The keeper remains rooted to the spot and can only watch the ball fly into his net.
67' - GOAL! A deflected effort drops nicely to Costa just outside the box, and in a similar position to Willian. Much like him he whips the ball nicely leaving Marshall little chance in goal.
