Pogba could stay at Juventus

Paul Pogba could be set to reject offers from both Juventus and Manchester United, according to the Sun. The report quotes teammate Paulo Dybala, with the striker claiming that he believes Pogba will not leave Turin after speaking with him. It comes after both United and Madrid are in a £80 million tug of war for the striker, with the English giants just ahead despite claims Real Madrid have already entered into transfer talks.
Paper Round's view: Dybala has no reason to lie or smokescreen the situation, as he was asked a question and answered it honestly. There's always a chance Juventus were going to push for one more season, in order to somehow up his value and maybe get him to sign another contract which ups his release fee. No doubt he's not at Juventus in 12 months time, but you'd still back Madrid to convince him.

Bayern Munich monitoring Eric Dier

Bayern Munich have begun putting together a dossier on Eric Dier, according to the Mirror. The report says that enquiries have been made from German giants over his availability, as their backroom staff has begun making background checks on the defensive midfielder. A range of Premier League contacts have been spoken to for further details on the temperament and character of the player, as any move from Spurs would set Bayern back as he's tied to the London club on a five year contract.

Paper Round's view: Still a fair way off from happening I'd say, but expect this next generation of Spurs is to start turning heads. Dier has still got a long way to go, but he's both a clever deep-lying playmaker and reads defensive situations quite well. Even if you're not the quickest or sexiest player, Europe's elite will rate anyone like Dier who has such acute attacking and defensive awareness.

Ronald Koeman set to pay £20 million for Morgan Schneiderlin

Everton have made Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin a summer transfer priority, according to the Mirror. The report claims that new boss Ronald Koeman would be ready to pay £20 million for the French international, as he rates him from their brief experience together at Southampton. Koeman would use Schneiderlin to cover a back four that was consistently under-attack last season, and give him more midfield options to choose from.

Paper Round's view: It's been very quiet from Old Trafford on the subject of who Mourinho wants out, and one would doubt Everton and Koeman would waste their time on someone who Mourinho has earmarked for staying. Didn't come on at United, but is a super player and in the right environment is an excellent midfield metronome.

Saido Berahino set to join Stoke for £16 million

Saido Berahino's transfer saga appears to be over as a £16 million deal is set to be done this week, according to the Mirror. The report claims that Stoke and West Brom have come to an agreement, with the Baggies giving a green-light to finally moving the player on. The forward nearly left the club last summer and in the January window, with Newcastle in the winter having their £21 million bid for the winger rejected. Berahino's personal terms will be £70,000 a week, and will sign a long contract with the Potters.

Paper Round's view: Finally, this saga according to these reports are somewhat over. West Brom get a handy fee and Berahino gets his wish to move to a better club. The conditions are perfect for Berahino to bloom and play his best football, with enough cover from the likes of Xheridan Shaqiri, Bojan Krkic and Marko Arnautovic to fly under the radar of the opposition. However, he has to bring his best game face and become more professional in order to improve.
