Ahead of the Europa League play-off game against Romanian side Astra Giurgiu Bilic said that signing Bony was an option for his side.
West Ham are struggling with injuries at the moment with Andy Carroll, Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho all out in the striking area, with Dimitri Payet, Sofiane Feghouli, Aaron Cresswell, Manuel Lanzini and Doneil Henry all also out.
Bilic made it clear that Bony and Juventus striker Simone Zaza were both options and they are looking at players now because of the injuries they have.
He said "We have a couple of players we are trying to do a deal with. We have injuries and we are short of numbers.
"He (Bony) is also an option because he plays in the position we are looking for. I leave negotiations to the Chairman and Tony Henry.
"We were linked with him (Zaza) last year and he is a top player. We were in contact with him last year and will see what happens.

The Hammers boss added that he felt that Ghanaian striker Ayew would be the longest injury of the players currently out
"We will not sign someone because we have to act now. The longest injury is Andre Ayew and we expect him to be fit in December."
West Ham drew the first leg of the match against the Romanian champions 1-1, the team who knocked them out of this competition last year.
They go into the second leg coming off the back of their first Premier League game at the London Stadium, which they won 1-0 thanks to a header from Michail Antonio.
