The deal was completed last nightThe deal was completed last night, but the Bianconeri only released their statement this morning.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A announces that an agreement has been finalized with Watford Association Football Club Limited for the definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Roberto Maximiliano Pereyra for a consideration of €13m to be paid in four financial years.
“The consideration may increase of €2m on achieving given conditions in the course of the duration of the contract.
“The economic effect is positive for about €0.2m.”
This is a bare minimum profit made on the Argentine, who was signed from Udinese in 2015.
It is perhaps because of these circumstances that Watford are allowed to spread the payments over four years, as the English Premier League club is owned by the Pozzo family - who also run Udinese.
