Arsenal have rejected Manchester City's £50m bid for Alexis Sanchez ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline, according to media reports.

The Chile international scored 24 goals in the Premier League last term and is apparently keen to be reunited with Pep Guardiola, his former manager at Barcelona, say the BBC.
Sanchez, 28, played his first match of the season in Arsenal's humiliating 4-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday.
Bu Arsenal have so far rejected any moves for the player they signed from Barca for £35m three years ago despite him being in the final year of his contract.
City will test Arsenal's resolve, and could increase their offer with Arsene Wenger said to be keen to bring City and England winger Raheem Sterling to the Emirates if Sanchez leaves.

Guardiola is apparently keen to retain Sterling - who has played for City in three Premier League games this season - and land Sachez in a cash only buy.
Sterling is apparently concerned about his prospects at City after the club signed Bernardo Silva from Monaco, and is open to joining Arsenal with the chance of a move to London a major factor in his thought process.
