Manchester United start the weekend eight points off their local rivals at the top of the Premier League and with a tough visit to Arsenal to come on Saturday evening.
City’s brand of football has been hailed as the best ever seen in England but Pogba feels that United’s bad luck with injuries is also a big contributing factor to their lead.
And in a surprisingly candid moment, Pogba said he hopes City’s treatment room starts to fill up soon.
"I hope – and it's bad to say things like this – but I hope they will get some very important players injured like what happened with us," Pogba said on Football Focus.
"People don't see this, don't speak about this, but every time we have important players that get injured when there is important games.
"So if that starts happening with them as well maybe we'll get a little difference. A little touch that makes them weaker."
