Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini came off the bench to score late on for Manchester United in a hard-fought 2-0 win over Leicester City.
After two 4-0 wins on the spin, Jose Mourinho’s side were left frustrated in the first half after Juan Mata had a goal ruled out for a marginal off-side while Paul Pogba went close on two occasions.
And their afternoon worsened when Romelu Lukaku had a penalty brilliantly saved after Anthony Martial, who started ahead of Rashford, had won the spot-kick.

The England striker made his mark within three minutes of coming on with a close range finish before fellow substitute Fellaini sealed victory by putting the ball in with his knee.
It was a tad harsh on the Foxes, who were reduced to mainly half chances but defended well, but United maintain their 100 per cent start to their Premier League campaign.

TALKING POINT

Does Mourinho start with Martial, Rashford or Zlatan Ibrahimovic long-term? The Frenchman was impressive off the bench against West Ham and Swansea but was below-par against the Foxes, offering little. Rashford was the perfect super sub, netting within three minutes of coming on and turning the game. When Zlatan returns from injury, he may be the preferred support striker if the younger duo do not take their chances.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City): He kept the Red Devils at bay in the first half with fine saves to deny Mata and Pogba. And he pulled off a penalty save that his dad Peter would have been proud of to keep out Lukaku. His defenders let him down for United's two goals.
