Djetou signs for Trotters

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has completed the signing of French defender Martin Djetou in a bid to bolster his injury hit back line. The 31-year-old has been drafted in until the end of the season after having recently trained with the Trotters at the Reebok Stadium.

He may even make his debut in Saturday's clash with Premiership champions Chelsea.

"After the number of injuries we have sustained of late, I had to move quickly to bring in more depth," Allardyce said.

"When I heard Martin was out of contract I jumped at the chance of bringing him to Bolton.

"We have earmarked the need for Martin to work on his match fitness but there is an outside chance that he could go straight into the squad for the Chelsea game on Saturday and our Uefa Cup match, the following week, against Besiktas."
